FET Demand
There has been a surprise demand levelled by the FET this week against the Children Of Hexos for the return of the Starbase Ves Ghorman. The FET CEO released the following statement:

Subject:Request concerning the legal ownership of Ves Ghorman.
Greetings.
It is my sad duty to inform you that you are currently illegally in possession of a FET facility, namely the base you call Ves Ghorman(previously known as FET Yokosuka).Below you will find extracts from historical documents concerning the capture and subsequent illegal sale of said base.
Although 10 years have passed the base is legally FET property and we formally request that you return it to us forthwith.
The FET Board of Directors realise that the current COH leadership probably has no knowledge of the history of this base and do not hold you personally responsible for the actions of your predecessors. In light of that FET are willing to let you remove all the Principles,Techniques,Blueprints and Ground Troops that may be located at the base, if you return Yokosuka to us.
But, if you decide not to return it to it’s rightful owners FET will have to take a more direct approach to recover our property. This would start with a blockade of the planet.

Pirates In Adamski
An as yet unknown pirate group has launched a series of daring attacks in the Adamski system this week, capturing a couple of COH facilities, and an AFT outpost.
The pirates numbers are understood to run into the several thousands, and they are well supported by assault tanks.
Wolfpack
The Wolfpack pirates have captured an Imperial patrol vessel in the Fortoon System.
The vessel is understood to have been on-station for years, before the Wolfpack pirates discovered and captured it. The Wolfpack then went on to taunt the Imperial Viceroy about what a difference it made for a pirate to be capturing Imperial ships for a change, after having had Pirate Large in their pocket for so long.

Nuclear Weapons Deployed
Reports have reached our newsroom that the FLZ vessel CF-DOMINATOR 3, a Dominator Class Capital Ship has launched nuclear missiles.
SMS/FEL vessels spotted the Dominator 3 in the Vanus system who scanned it and were alarmed to discover the ship was carrying nuclear weapons and launch facilities, as well as a small number of Felini slaves.
An attempt was then made by the FEL to board the vessel, which resulted in a flurry of defensive fire that included several launched nuclear missiles, leading to the destruction of the attacking FEL boarder.
DTR Endorse New FCN Government
The DTR have released the following statement to the press:
“The Detinus Republic is happy to welcome to office our friend Darius Shirazi of the Falconian Republic.
The DTR are proud to see new races and peoples embracing the principles of the democratic republic, and the freedoms that the DTR hold dear, and we consider this a great step forward for the Falconian people under the brave and visionary leadership of Consul Shirazi.

Birth Of The Falconian Republic
The new leader of the Republic, Darius Shirazi, has appeared on Falconian news services giving the following statement, “By the decree of the Emperor I declare the name of the affiliation to be the Falconian Republic henceforth. I will organise the outcast affiliation politicals and the running of our bases on Republican principles not seen since the days of ancient Rome.”
The last Emperor has thus stepped down and a new enlightened era is announced for the affiliation as a Republic. This should give greater stability to the faction and dictates by power hungry Emperors will be a thing of the past.
Pirate Destroyed
A small pirate scout vessel nosing around the Venice system has been destroyed whilst attempting to enter orbit of Cyprus.
Falconian Press Release – War Declared!
“Despite repeated efforts to establish peaceful diplomatic relations with the Ulian Stellar Nation (34) the attack on our peaceful, unarmed research outpost has left us with no choice but to declare war. The Falconians will not rest until the Ulian people know freedom and peace.
Travellers are warned Ulian is a restricted system and any vessels not flagged FCN will be treated as hostile.”

Lord Goth Assassinated
The Wolfpack Mercenary company have broken news of the shock assassination of the GTT security director Lord Goth, with the following simple communication to our newsroom:
“Today Lord Goth was terminated by one of my operatives. Please put it in the SSS.

Lord Goth Surrenders
Following his outspoken condemnation of pirates and those who support them, the pirate mercenary company Wolfpack promptly made it their business to inflict maximum hurt upon GTT holdings.
In a day of action Wolfpack forces captured 9 GTT outposts, mostly in the Wastelands system, and a further 3 more destroyed by orbital bombardment. We have received partial details of the targets:

The Wolfpack mercs then demanded an apology and climb down from Lord Goth, or they would destroy the outposts and scrap all of the materiel collected at them.
Following a tense standoff Lord Goth bowed to the pressure from the Wolfpack mercs, a humiliation that seemed to satisfy the Wolfpack, as they agreed to call off their vendetta against the GTT.

Architects
In other non-pirate related news throughout the Peripheries this week, there was a shock when the mysterious ARC apparently initiated the first phase of their plan. We have received the following firsthand witness report of the Architects actions from the Mohache vessel that was on scene:
“It was stardate 208.32.2 as the captains pulled into a loose orbit around the Kasmer stargate point.
The food was almost ready as they put the ships onto autopilot waiting for the gate keys to build charge before diving into the gate-point.
As the captains did the final checks of the systems, the rudementry sensor system started flashing, "Unknown Orbital Object Detected!"
It takes a lot for MOH captains to be late for dinner, but this was serious, the sensor systems weren't the best, but if they signalled a warning it had to be looked into.
Looking at the sensor logs it soon became apparent what had trigged the warning, the huge mass on the opposite orbit of the wormhole entrance...

Large Unmasked! Imperial Services Named!
The blog of renowned pirate hunter and FET security director Mike Storm this week broke shocking news regarding the identity of Pirate large.
With no warning to any of the Periphery news outlets, Director Storm revealed intelligence that directly implicated the IMP as being the affiliation providing support and protection to the dread Pirate.

Mike Storm looked down at his file of classified reports. He could not believe so much had happened to him in such a short time.
Just over two years ago he had joined the FET and rapidly taken on more responsibilities until being made security director. The FET had not taken any part in the war for some time so he had quickly made himself busy hunting pirates.
Pirate Large had sent his old ship, named Small, in to take an FET ship. It had failed and was destroyed approaching the target. A proud day for the new security director. He was asked to join the APTF.
He remembered the day he spent sat at his terminal, publicly arguing with Jack Ryan the independent trader on the com channel. An IND ship had shown up in Dryad, followed the next day by multiple pirate boarding ships who attacked the FET freighters in orbit. Unknown to the pirates many of the FET ships had been fitted with missile launchers and they had warship captains on board with orders to defend each other at any cost. Two freighters had been lost to the boarders, but two pirate boarding ships had been destroyed as they closed on their prey.

Atrocity?
Disturbing rumours are reaching the IGN news-room of some sort of mass-slaughter of unarmed Flagritz civilians. It is said that the civilians were engaged in a largely peaceful protest when an orbital bombardment was called in on them by person or persons as yet unknown.
More news as we get it.
Flare Up In Twinkle
News agencies at highstar have been carrying the following story:
“Highstar defence command extends its gratitude to the crew of FLZ SHIP HK FREE FLZ (29009) for bravely sacrificing themselves in order to provide a light show for the inhabitants of Sapphire.
When we assumed governance of Twinkle the Tyrant in his generosity permitted the FLZ to continue to utilise the Stargate as long as they honoured the peace of the system, did not land any positions on planetary surfaces and avoided the orbit of Sapphire. They have violated this agreement and it would be reasonable to remove their transit privileges as a response. But the Tyrant is his wisdom has to consider the high possibility that this suicidal and pointless violation of Sapphire orbit was due incompetence or inexperience rather than malice and has not decreed such a ban....yet. Limitations may follow if it proves the FLZ are simply incapable of abiding by reasonable restrictions. .. If the FLZ have any comment which may effect his deliberations they are welcome to put them forward.

Inter Galactic News RIP Guilt Special
GTT Attack FLZ
News agencies are reporting that the GTT have launched a series of attacks against FLZ positions. The GTT have issued the following official statement:
”Our trade ships reported to us the use of slaves at a FLZ Starbase in the New Sussex system. Once it was confirmed a GTT fleet was send with ground forces to free the slaves from the life of forced labour.
The First two days saw the Space square A 6 and a fleet in D10 hit and a few outposts taken as well as the planet orbit cleared of ships and a platform.
It was at this point when the main ground forces were about to be sent in the CNF asked us to hold back while they find a peaceful way to deal with the slave issue.
What we have found out so far from the Slaves that have been found is that they are former employees that were turned on by the FLZ a while ago.
The mission was code-named Lincoln.”
According to observers, the FLZ lost two platforms and seven gunboats as GTT warships attacked, and possibly two Baseships that were docked at the outpost when it fell to the GTT marines.
IGN reporters have been able to interview the freed slaves from Outpost HK-MO-Arundel, encouraging them to speak out about what happened to them. At first they claimed to be legitimate employees of the Flagritz Empire until recently when they were turned on and forced into slave labour. They had been there just a few weeks before the GTT arrived and rescued them.
The Detinus Republic Foreign Minister Cassius Jerusalem was the first of several Periphery ministers to warmly congratulate the GTT for their brave operation, and successful rescue of the slaves from Flagritz tentacles. Greater questions have now been asked about the use of slaves throughout the Flagritz Republic as a whole.
The RIP however have been suspiciously quiet on the whole issue, leading to much speculation that they are in favour of slavery.
